The NPC's listed here are known as "Active" NPC's, or NPC's that have an account and post on the forums of Magistream. They are in order of when they were created.
Thane

The Keep is where High Archmage Thane is usually to be found, hunched over some dusty tome with his raven.
No one knows when The Keep was built, or how long it has stood. Even High Archmage Thane, two hundred years in age (although this he admits, so he is probably older - but he doesn't look it!) cannot remember any tales of the beginning.-- The Keep.
Thanes Raven, just known as 'Raven', is very rarely seen around the keep and has a partnership with the Arch-mage. He also happens to be the first person to contact you via Private Message when you join the site.

Azazel

Many have thought that he is the Arch-Mage's apprentance, but he is not. Infact, he's a Magic Craftsman who goes on various missions to help people in need. In October of 2009, he has been 'missing' due to going on a mission far away that Thane wishes to not talk about.
The two 'love birds' did have a spat on the MS NPC HQ's awhile ago and you can see the fight on Umbreon97's Profile.
Azazel is considered to be the dominant one of the relationship and does get away with pushing Thane about, even telling him to go to sleep and getting him food so he doesn't eat the site.

Master Belmos
The Master, as he has been called, is the keeper of the Nursery and often holds 'Nursery Events' in the Merchant District. Many of his events consist of Auctions but the fourth one was a raffle. Being the Oldest [age wise] Active NPC, Master Belmos has many stories of things that the students don't know about, including stories how Thane was a joker in his class. Very little is known about Belmos, much like Azazel, but we do know that he is a man not to be messed with.
Master Belmos is known very well in the HQ for popping in and giving a pop quiz to the members currently online when he shows up.
Belmos actually doesn't look like Dumbledore. He has a short beard that is mostly white with a few dark streaks left in it. He likes to smoke the pipe, especially if he feels relaxed. He only needs glasses for reading.
